Rioma has formalized this Tuesday its adhesion to RE-VISTE, the Collective System of Extended Producer Responsibility (SCRAP) of the textile and footwear sector. With this incorporation, the company takes another step forward in its commitment to sustainability and the circular economy, anticipating future regulations related to the management of textile and footwear products at the end of their useful life.
RE-VISTE continues to consolidate itself as an open and collaborative project working to develop an efficient national model for the collection, reuse and recycling of textile and footwear waste. The adhesion of new companies is key to promote a system capable of responding effectively to the environmental and regulatory challenges facing the sector.
“RE-VISTE was born with the vocation of integrating all companies that put textile and footwear products on the market, regardless of their activity, specialization or size. The incorporation of Rioma reflects precisely that capacity to add representative companies from different areas of the textile sector, which are fundamental to build a truly representative system that is prepared to respond to the environmental and regulatory challenges of the sector,” says Juan Ramón Meléndez, general manager of RE-VISTE.
For its part, Rioma emphasizes that joining RE-VISTE is a natural step in its strategy of sustainability and environmental responsibility. As a company historically linked to the textile and decoration sector, they point out that “we understand that the future of our industry necessarily involves moving towards more responsible, efficient and circular models, capable of reducing environmental impact and optimizing resource management”.
“We face this new stage with the will to continue innovating and adapting to the regulatory and environmental challenges that will mark the future of the industry, while reinforcing our commitment to customers, collaborators and society. We believe that collaboration between companies will be key to driving a real and lasting transformation towards a more sustainable and circular model.”

About RIOMA
Rioma was born in Andalusia in the 70’s with the aim of designing and commercializing fabrics with its own identity. Thanks to its creativity and a distinctive stamp in prints, the company consolidated its growth during the 80’s and 90’s, starting its international expansion and participating in the main fairs of the sector. With the inauguration of its current facilities in 2008 and the expansion of its catalog into upholstery, decoration and technical applications, Rioma has been able to adapt to market changes and consolidate itself as a solid, innovative and sustainable company, where passion, professionalism and results orientation are part of its essence.
