RESEARCH ON HOME TEXTILES BASED ON NEW FINISHING PROCESSES (FUTURHOMETEX)

The project developed by RIOMA, S.L. called “RESEARCH OF HOME FABRICS BASED ON NEW FINISHING PROCESSES” has been financed by the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology (CDTI) and has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

The project starts with the general objective to carry out research into fabrics for the home based on new dyeing and finishing processes, carrying out a work plan divided into two different lines of work: On the one hand, we want to carry out research into the process of obtaining and developing natural dyes with the aim of creating a line of sustainable and ecological colours for use in the company’s internal dyeing and printing processes. On the other hand, the complete process of digital transfer printing will be investigated, as well as all the elements involved, with the aim of increasing the light fastness of the prints to an optimum quality level, with the final objective of creating a new outdoor fabric. After the completion of the first milestone, we have continued the CDTI project “…”.RESEARCH OF HOME TEXTILES BASED ON NEW FINISHING PROCESSES”. with Milestone 2 starting on 07/01/2019 and ending on 06/30/2021, in which RIOMA has carried out the product reengineeringoptimizing the process and the prototypes and finally we have proceeded to the reengineering research on transfer processes for outdoor fabrics and conclusions for process and prototype optimization.
