The concept of corporate sustainability has become a fundamental part of the structure and raison d’être of organizations.

In the case of the textile sector, market demands are increasingly focused on respect for the environment, recycling, circular economy and a whole series of changes in production dynamics aimed at protecting the planet. In this sense, after long processes of research, innovation and development, smart fabrics have generated one of the most important ecological, social and economic impacts. Examples include tissues that capture external energy, regulate body temperature or emit odors, among others.

In this context, Rioma is a leading B2B company that has focused its more than 50 years of experience in the manufacture and marketing of textile products for decoration and upholstery, such as Contract+Technic high-strength fabrics, which represent a sustainable solution to the needs of its customers, since their manufacture is based on concepts of durability and sustainability. From its origin, the company uses materials that seek to minimize environmental impact and are designed under strict manufacturing processes, framed within a sustainable policy that is ISO 14006:2011 certified, as well as the Oekotex Standard 100, which guarantees that its textiles are free of harmful substances, both for the skin and for the planet.

High performance with modern technology

Rioma’s highly resistant Contract+Technic fabrics withstand the intense use of high traffic spaces, such as offices, hotels, cinemas, restaurants, among others. These fabrics reach up to 250,000 Martindale cycles, i.e. they have a high resistance to wear and tear. In the same way, they offer easy maintenance, in order to enjoy their use for years and significantly reduce waste generation.

Within this same line, Rioma has created two specialized collections that respond to customer demands: on the one hand, Outdoor Indoor focuses on the development of fabrics for outdoors, such as terraces and patios. These are solutions with anti-mold technology, breathable, with high light stability and weather resistance. As for Horeca, it responds to the demand for specialized fabrics for the hospitality industry that can withstand continuous washing cycles at high temperatures, as well as the use of diluted bleach for integral disinfection.

High Performance fabrics, easy to maintain

Looking for durability and resistance characteristics to be present in most of its fabrics, Rioma has focused on the design of High Performance products. These fabrics are present in a large part of our catalog and have the added advantage of being more resistant to dirt and stains. For example, the Outdoor line incorporates an antimicrobial function to prevent the proliferation of bacteria, and offers greater protection against oil, water and food stains.

In addition, they are much easier to maintain. Most stains can be easily cleaned using only soapy water or diluted bleach. But those intended for the hospitality industry can also withstand machine washing up to 60º without problems. Thanks to these characteristics, High Performance fabrics are ideal for use in high traffic areas.
