The arrival of the end of the year is always an opportune moment for both individuals and organizations to take stock of everything that has happened in the last few months, reflecting on the goals achieved and formulating new objectives to be met for the coming period.

In this regard, the textile industry Spain is no exception, given that several exponents of the segment, while praising the strength and momentum of the sector after the pandemic, have also highlighted the need to continue to deepen sustainable production and the creation of products with a lower environmental impact.

Within this context, Rioma stands out as a reference company in the manufacture of high quality textiles for upholstery and decoration. The company located in Montilla (Córdoba) recently made a retrospective balance of its 2023 where it presented its renewed commitment to the hospitality sector and the development of the Eco Care fabric line.

A continued commitment to the hospitality sector

Rioma continued its commitment to the hospitality sector in 2023 by developing high-performance fabrics for the segment, such as the new collection for the Horeca line with botanical and geometric patterns specially developed for table linen. Meanwhile, work was carried out on renewing the colors of Ninfa and Newport, two of the line’s bestsellers that stand out for their enormous resistance and durability to high-temperature industrial washing and cleaning with disinfectants.

This year, the textile company launched another new outdoor collection that is part of its Decorative Outdoor Indoor line, Bora Bora, which has indispensable characteristics for outdoor environments such as the ability to withstand the weather and its anti-mold and anti-bacterial technology.

Rioma announced the addition of new fabrics to its catalog for 2024: Clarke, Vernon and Arles. Window solutions will include Verena with FR flame retardant properties, complying with the main international flame retardant standards applicable to textiles, and Elin, an ideal solution for curtains, blinds and panels.

Eco Care: a milestone in eco-friendly fabrics

The Eco Care line has been one of Rioma’s big bets for 2023 as a safe alternative to traditionally used finishes. It is an environmentally friendly technology, 100% water repellent and free of toxic agents derived from PFAS.

Ross, a sophisticated fine-textured bouclé, and Munro, a high-performance corduroy fabric for high-traffic public spaces, are two of the new Eco Care collections presented by the company that meet the requirements of both domestic and professional use.

Rioma, in short, for the coming year proposed to insist on the development of fabrics for the contract sector and to continue betting on the new Eco Care line, which is one of its main pillars in the objective of promoting a more sustainable and environmentally friendly textile industry.
