On the morning of July 26, the social work of the Generali insurance company signed a collaboration agreement with the Universal Social Foundation with the aim of incorporating, for the next school year, the Mamá Margarita Afternoon Home project into the “For Families” program, which will improve the intervention and double the number of children under 6 years of age assisted.

The development of this agreement will generate welfare and protection contexts for the most vulnerable children in Montilla, favoring the integral development of children between the ages of 0 and 7 years old through strategies of accompaniment, empowerment and support with a rights and community approach.

On the other hand, Generali will offer support through its network of entities and services for monitoring and evaluation of the program with the aim of working together to improve the emotional, physical and academic development of the children of these families, ensuring an environment of well-being for the minors.

The table of entities could not miss the participation of the company Rioma, committed from the beginning with the social and environmental projects of the Fundación Social Universal in Spain and in developing countries. On their behalf, Carlos Herrera, Operations Director of the textile company, underlined “the company’s values of solidarity, social inclusion, conciliation and environmental impact and the support for FSU’s social projects and development, especially with the children of the Mamá Margarita Afternoon Home.”

The round of speeches was closed with the words of the Mayor of Montilla due to the participation of the City Council uninterruptedly with the development of this project with the transfer of the facilities of the former kindergarten of the Magi and the granting of a nominal grant to contribute to the financing of the project.

The Mamá Margarita Afternoon Home program currently serves more than 40 local children between the ages of 3 and 16, who come every afternoon to their second home where they study, play and share time with a team of volunteers and educators who guide them throughout the learning process.
